Hot chocolate is the best, especially if you live in a cold climate like I do. Drinking hot chocolate any time of the day or night during the winter — really is there anything better.
My favorite Hot chocolate mix is the one found on the site LouDells Hot Chocolate Mix given to me by my mother-in-law. I’ve used this mix for the past 25 years, I love it.

Hot Chocolate Mug gift.
This is a great simple and inexpensive one. It’s easy to find cute hot chocolate mugs at the dollar store. Filled a baggie full or LouDells Hot Chocolate Mix, dipped a couple of spoons in chocolate and filled a baggie with large, you could also use small or homemade, marshmallows. Carefully place the hot chocolate and dipped spoons inside the mug. Tie the marshmallows to the mug handle.
Hot Chocolate with a kiss
This fun little gift is as tasty as it is fun. Use old baby food or jam jars to put your hot chocolate mix in.
I then crushed up a candy cane and placed on top of the hot chocolate. After putting in the candy cane place some miniature marshmallows on top.
Close the lid. When using a canning jar put your kisses on top of the lid and while draping it over the sides screw on the ring. Place the ring around the top of the jar and seal.
Glue the kisses on top of the lid if using a baby food jar. Take your candy canes and a pretty bow and tie it around once you have your lid on.
Hot Chocolate in a jar
This one is as simple as it is delicious. At your local craft store buy a fun jar or take one off your shelf. Make your homemade hot chocolate mix jar festive by attaching a fun ribbon to the jar.

Homemade Hot Chocolate Basket
If a basket is more your cup-o-tea or rather chocolate than place your homemade hot chocolate mix in a good size bag, then place your homemade or store bought marshmallows in a cellophane bag and place both of them in a nice basket.
